An interesting idea came while listening to a radio interview. The idea came from an author who wrote a book about where he lived by placing a saucer over his house on a map and drawing a line around it and then researching the area inside the circle, it history, people and buildings. What a great idea for a photographic series. Sometimes we can travel all over the world only to find that the real treasures of our life are on our doorstep.

Sounds of the Sea
Photographers and their Images, is a book featuring famous photographers. One photograph that stands out in the book is a photograph taken in 1954 by world famous photographer Yousuf Karsh, of the master of the Cello, Pablo Casals. A story is told about an elderly gentleman who would stand each day in front of the photograph. When the curator of the Gallery asked why he came each day he is told, ‘Hush, can’t you see, I am listening to the music’, such is the power of the photograph.
